Well, when I buy a new unit it will not be Magellan. By the way, if your unit was working with the maps on the SD card previously, don't bother updating the file since it'll point for maps on the HDD (internal memory) and won't work. These were some of the lines of the file I've got with the updated maps, which were wrong for my case: # Basemap \SDMMC Card\MAP # Detailmap Map Data \SDMMC Card\MAP # POI Map Data \SDMMC Card\MAP First, the SD card is called SDMMC, not 'SDMMC Card'.
They had built a fairly good interface and system with the 4250 and they could not even maintain it. They are back to $79.99 at their official web site. Second error, these entries would require all maps and POI to be stored under a subdirectory MAPS.
